Using Ubuntu

Once everything is installed, how do we get to Ubuntu and start the Xfce desktop?

  1. From Chrome OS, press the Ctrl+Alt+T keys. A Crosh Terminal window will open in the Chrome browser.

  2. Type the following command and press Enter:
    shell
  3. To start the Xfce Desktop Environment, use the following command and press Enter:
    sudo startxfce4

    The Xfce Desktop will start.

  4. To switch between the Xfce Desktop and Chrome OS, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Back.

  5. To switch between Chrome OS and the Xfce Desktop, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Forward.
