2. Change User Password

Use this option to change the default user password.

The default user is pi
The default password is raspberry

  1. Start at the raspi-config main menu.
    Change User Password

  2. Select Change User Password. A message stating You will now be asked to enter a new password for the pi user will be displayed.

  3. Press Enter. The message will close and the console session with the following password prompts will be displayed:
    Enter new UNIX password:
    Retype new UNIX password:
  4. Type a new strong password at the prompts. When complete a message stating that the Password changed successfully will be displayed.

  5. Press Enter. The message will close.

  1. I’m in the process of installing UniFi on a RasPi but will go to bed now (after 1AM) and finish tomorrow. Later I want to install it on an OrangePiPC if I can.
