Configure
Once adopted and upgraded, your switch is ready to configure.
- From the UniFi Controller Dashboard screen, click DEVICES in the left menu bar. The Devices screen will be displayed.
- Locate your UniFi Switch 48 POE-750W in the list of devices, and click the device link listed under Name/MAC Address. The switch properties window will be displayed. The Overview page shows basic details and statistics about the switch:
- MAC Address;
- Model;
- Firmware Version;
- IP Address;
- Power Consumption (PoE); and
- Uptime.
The Uplink page shows the automatically detected uplink port connected to the switch.
The Downlinks page shows the automatically detected downlink ports connected to the switch, such as other switches or wireless access points.
- Click the Ports tab. The window will change to display a list of switch ports.
- Select port 1 and click Edit Selected. The properties for the individual port will be displayed.
From the port properties window you can change the following attributes of an individual port:
- Name;
- PoE configuration (Off, 24V Passive, or PoE+);
- VLAN membership (All);
- Operation mode (Switching, Mirroring, or Aggregate); and
- Link Negotiation (Auto or Manual).
- Click the Configuration tab. The window will change to display the switch configuration options. The Config page allows you to change the Alias of the switch.
The Networks/VLANs page allows you to create or manage Networks or VLANs on the switch.
The Services page allows you to specify a Management VLAN for the switch, enable Jumbo Frames, and enable Flow Control.
The Network page allows you to Configure IP addressing on the switch, with the default option set to using DHCP.
The Copy Config page allows you to copy a similar switch’s configuration onto this switch.
The Forget this Switch page allows you to remove the switch so that it will no longer be managed by this UniFi Controller.
