Add Local Administrator

This option allows you to add a new user account to the local Administrators group.

  1. Type 3 and press Enter to Add Local Administrator. A prompt to Enter account to join local Administrators group will be displayed.
    In a domain environment, specify domain\username.
    In a workgroup environment, specify username.
    
    Enter account to join local Administrators group (Blank=Cancel):
  2. Type the user account name to be added to the local Administrators group, and press Enter. A Command Prompt window will open asking for the users password.
    Type a password for the user:
    Retype the password to confirm:
  3. Type the password, press Tab, confirm the password, and then press Enter.
    A message stating The command completed successfully will be displayed.

  4. Click OK. The Main Menu will be displayed.
