Interfaces

Camera

If you have a Raspberry Pi camera module, you will need to enable support for it here. Enabling this option will also ensure that at least 128 MB of RAM is dedicated to the GPU.

The default Camera option is Disabled.

  1. Start on the Raspberry Pi Configuration Interfaces tab.
    Raspberry Pi Configuration: Interfaces

    Raspberry Pi Configuration: Interfaces

  2. At the Camera option, select Enabled or Disabled.

Changes won’t be saved until you click OK to exit the Raspberry Pi Configuration tool, and also requires a reboot to take effect.

Enabling this option makes the following changes to /boot/config.txt

start_x=1
gpu_mem=128
gpu_mem will only be set if the current value is less than 128 MB.

Disabling this option makes the following change to /boot/config.txt

start_x=0
